Andrew D. McCartney
Andrew D. McCartney is a strategic litigator with diverse experience in trial and appellate courts, both state and federal. He has briefed cases in the Supreme Court of the United States, argued in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and served as lead trial counsel in high-stakes federal litigation in Ohio.
After practicing commercial litigation at a global law firm, Andrew joined the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, where he represented statewide elected officials and state agencies in civil litigation. Having spent time in both the private and public sector, Andrew is passionate about supporting local businesses and local government.
Andrew earned his law degree at the University of Texas School of Law, where he was managing editor of the Texas Review of Law & Politics. Following law school, he clerked for Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Andrew and his wife Alicia live with their daughter in southwest Ohio, where they enjoy hiking in the surrounding area.
Andrew is admitted to practice in Ohio and Texas.
